From the beginning of my journey, I knew I wanted to do something meaningful for Christ, and God led me to teaching - a calling I have followed for more than ten years. I am passionate about math, innovation, and supporting teachers, but my greatest joy is helping students grow in their relationship with Jesus. Do we have to be Seventh-day Adventist to attend West Coast Christian Academy?

No. You do not have to be Adventist. The school says Adventist Education is open to your child regardless of religious affiliation, and Baptist, Catholic, and non-denominational families attend. Bible class, worship, and a biblical code of conduct are still part of every school day. Tour first so the daily rhythm is no surprise.

What grades does West Coast Christian Academy serve?

WCCA serves kindergarten through 12th grade. K-8 is the core, with 35 students and three full-time teachers. Grades 9 through 12 form a small on-campus distance-learning pathway with 9 students this year, supervised by adult facilitators. VPK and preschool are not offered at this time. Ask the office about seats in your child's grade.

How much is tuition at WCCA for 2026-2027?

Published 2026-27 tuition is $9,600 for K-4, $9,300 for grades 5-8, and $8,900 for grades 9-12. Fees sit on top: $50 application and $250 registration for K-8, plus a $50 class fee and $25 yearbook. What do Manatee County families typically pay after scholarship?

Most Manatee families pay about $1,200 to $1,500 in tuition after the Family Empowerment award, before fees. For example, the 2026-27 Manatee FES-EO award of $8,378 for K-3 against $9,600 tuition leaves about $1,222; grades 5-8 land near $1,506 and grades 9-12 near $1,297. How small is the campus, and will my child be known?

Yes, genuinely. WCCA enrolls 35 students in K-8 with three full-time teachers, plus 9 students in the high school pathway. Principal Theresa Martinez also teaches, so children know the adults who lead the school. Expect combined grade bands rather than age-separated halls. Tour the campus and meet the teachers.

What is Adventist Education at WCCA, in plain language?

It is Christian education that teaches faith as part of the day, not a weekly add-on. At WCCA that means Bible class, worship, a biblical code of conduct, plus academics, robotics, and outdoor education.
